BRAVO (BUYERS AND RENTERS ARLING-

TON VOICE) is a coalition of 15 Arlington

community organizations and churches that

provides education and support to low-

income and minority residents in order to

improve their living conditions and prevent

displacement, neighborhood destruction,

and the loss of affordable housing in Arling-

ton County. BRAVO's mission is to organ-

ize and empower Arlington's low-income

and minority tenants to develop tenant leader-ship and

community participation skills;

to improve maintenance at their properties;

and to influence County housing policy to

become more tenant friendly. BRAVO also

assists tenants in working pro-actively to

preserve affordable housing and keep ten-

ants from being displaced by private market

redevelopment and gentrification.
